This mod has breathed new life into HL2. Thank you! I'm wondering, if it's possible to have this mod + Fakefactory's amazing environments? I don't care much for his bizarre NPC models/weapons/music but IMO, he's made some incredible map enhancements to vanilla HL2 and even extended some portions/cut down on loading.

Seriously though, I reckon if you knocked up a map, got everything functional (ability to host a game) and released a demo, you'd get a lot more exposure, and more importantly, feedback. Just my 10 cents. :)

Nice release. Agree with Tunnel$' comments. VO is way too loud, don't recall it being this loud before?

The cinema hold out feels just about right for me, personally. It went on a lot longer during testing. For some reason I always struggle finding the 5th piece of C4 in the hotel and end up getting bumraped. I was playing solo so perhaps it'll work out better in co-op.

The gun dispensers are great, however, not ideal as it's tricky to juggle buying/dropping/buying guns when there's so much going on. The trader system works far far better. Hopefully TW will fix what they broke.

You still have time, according to ModDB's countdown to fix things up a little.

Great little read and I totally agree with all your points. I'm actually guilty of purchasing a few of the mentioned games. Contagion is a good example of EA done right, it went through Kickstarter, all the way to retail and the devs are providing regular updates and upcoming, free DLC (a rarity these days).

My friend gifted H1Z1 to me last month and It's shaping up to be a really solid title, it's had one major release on Steam and is very promising so far.

And as for Killing Floor 2, I'm certain Tripwire will do the right thing. ;-)

Too many hoops within hoops to jump through to get this for 3 days. I'll pass. However i'll be keeping tabs on this. Loved the first BB for GldSrc. :)
