Like many i have also experienced the Insomnia logo bug. for those who don't have it it is when the Insomnia logo appears on the Amnesia home screen. the fix for this is easy if you have windows. (i don't have a mac so i am unsure if this method will work he same)
1. go to Computer, Local Disk, Program Files (x86), and open the Amnesia folder.
2.next open folder redist then folder lang or just lang (if you don't use redist folder)
3. Open folders eng, dnh, graphics_dnh_menu
4. the item in folder graphics_dnh_menu is the bug that is giving all these problems menu_logo.TGA
5. in order to regain the Amnesia logo simply delete or rename the file.
please note that deleting or renaming the folder will also change the Isomnia logo to the Amnesia logo. so really you have a choice either have the Amnesia logo in Insomnia or have the Insomnia logo in Amnesia. there really is no win unless you don't mind changing the file name before each time you play the game.
