fixed it, turns out is says external files, gzdoom loads stuff from program directory on default :/
It was basically loading the skins folder twice.
Getting a odd error, downloaded gzdoom 2.1.1 and am using ZDL to set it up. Have the skins directory in external files. When I hit launch, I get an error that says
Execution could not continue.
Script error, "skins:3EFFECTS.wad:cvarinfo" line 1:
cvar 'blood_rand' already exists
Is there anything I can do?
Fixed it! To anyone with the issue with the nightly builds on the google drive. Download the version off of here (the manual archive) and drag and drop interfac_x2.drs and widescrn_x2.drs into the Game/Data directory AFTER installing the monthly build from the google drive. The UI now appears as expected in widescreen.
Fully redownloaded it and reinstalled, Nothing. Darn, still glitched.
After messing with it, I figured out the UI is normal in the regular battlegrounds_x1.exe executable. Seems to be with the widescreen? I'm going to try to install it by copying it outside of the .zip and straight into the file in case a file was corrupted and redownloading the file.
Hello! I was successfully able to install the mod off the monthly builds on a clean install of SWGB on GOG. Upon launch of a standard game by clicking battlegrounds_x2.exe and going through to the game. The bottom UI is not pink but its striped with alternating bands of color and glitched graphics. The normal gameplay bit of it is fine, with no graphical glitches. I tried the directdraw fix through SWBG Heaven and it does not fix the issue.
I've attached an image to check out, it's pretty weird.

It looks beautiful. Weathered to show the effects of battle but not enough to still show that it's right off the shipyards.
Can I have a different download link for daemons that isn't mediafire? Everytime I push the authorize download button it just refreshes the page. Every. Single. Time.

I say this one, it's pretty good and doesn't take up much space.
First glance and I thought they would be SCU drop pods, being called in from an experimental satellite with a side ability of being able to kill units on touchdown. But this is amazing as well xD Saving space in style!

Well that's odd, firing the rocket launcher I picked up from the first level (after just starting in DOOM 2) crashed the game to desktop.. any ideas?
