Will Matter Meltdown have IAP's?

Yes, the game will be free and it will have in app purchases as well as advertisements. BOTH IAPs and Advertisements?! Yes. Our IAPs will award you diamonds and those diamonds you can use to buy skins for your character, ships, and even additional levels.

Don't get freaked out by how many diamonds you are rewarded for your purchase and how much it costs to buy each item, the numbers are all arbitrary.

Things are coming along GREAT, looking forward to releasing this and hearing the feedback from the community! And also, it's is NOT pay to win, diamonds will be able to be earned in-game via level rewards, daily rewards, and other fun ways! :)

So what's Matter Meltdown all about?

The first thing I want to throw out there is that this is NOT a remake or a clone of another game, it is a completely unique and innovative game unlike ever seen before.

The basic idea is to break all of the tiles to complete each level. Your character, Carlos the alien, crash landed on this planet and needs your help to collect enough Matter to power his warp-drives to get home.

Some elements (fire, water, earth, etc.) will be given to you and the rest will have to be mixed together to create a new element. A basic example would be Water + Fire = Earth.

In the level above, the best way to complete it would be to break the brown dirt and let the fire burn up all of the plant/life for you to break ALL of the fire and create a big combo.

We also have detailed tons of moving planets for you to look at while you play as well as a big in-game skin store for you to customize your character. The game will NOT be pay-to-win, the skins are purely cosmetic. in addition to paying real money for the diamonds you can even earn the diamonds by in-game rewards, level bonuses, and special events.

Matter Meltdown - Update on progress!

What have we been working on lately?


We have FOUR new elements
They're not "implemented" into the game yet but I designed them today, we added:
- Money
- Gold
- Sun
- Ectoplasm

We've also been working on Matter Meltdown!!
That's right, we've been working on the Matter Meltdown mode within Matter Meltdown. It's a mode that will be unlocked when you get a sufficent number of stars on the constellation. Matter Meltdown will be fast paced, relatively easy, and it will reward diamonds. Once the mode has been unlocked you can play it once until it locks for a specified time. (probably a day)'

Cloud saving

We've been having a hard time saving games between multiple devices on android. Because we have IAPs and unlocks we want you to be able to load what you have done on your phone on your tablet. This sounds easy but it is NOT on GameMaker Studio. If anyone can point us in the right direction that would be great. I'd be happy to provide additional code/information to anyone who has done it before!

MORE LEVELS

Steve has been working on a lot of level design the past few days. There are some great looking, symetrical levels as well as some thought provoking levels that you will need to use your recipe book to complete 100%. The recipe book holds all of your discovered combinations and you can spend your in-game currency to unlock combos that you don't already know. LOL @ the asteroid ball on that screenshot, it has since been updated!
