It's Happening. Thanks a bunch for your hard work and getting it out the door, you just made me and my friends weekend! :) I might have to call in sick tomorrow. Bwahahah!
Alka Seltzer is for wimps, only gallons of Vodka will do. :)
We don't feed them here, we eat them. Thanks trolls for revealing yourself.
For some reason, Voxels stop working (sprite just says ebike) with Eduke32 on Linux if I use the dlcshotgun.def. :P But other than that little nitpick, best damn DLC to the best DNF remake ever created. :D
Oohh, this is so close. Thank you for this mod, hope Eduke32 gets cooperative play working with enet soon.
Just a little nitpick with the Zombies to start with. They are too easy to knock down. In the original they would run at you and swing, despite getting forked they keep coming at you and not always fall down as they get hit. Can you make them harder to knock down? Still, this really feels like Blood so good job! :) Maybe they don't have code for higher difficulity? Not sure how they act on lowest since I never played Blood on it. Hm..
Linux is just the Kernel :) Without it nothing would work, but at the same time, you would just be running a kernel without anything to do.
Someone needs to put it out, blunt and agressive, otherwise we are going to have mods and games failing to run just because someone decided it doesn't matter :p
A good practice is to still use a sane naming convention even if the game is able to by-pass case-sensitivity :D
Ahh yes, waiting for the bank transfer to Paypal so I can purchase, how is progress on the new version today? :)
Ahh yeah, got it working on Linux as well now :) had to change some filenames tho. Now the SOUND and MUSIC files to file-end with uppercase. Then rename it so it matches case for
"include AMC_SETTINGS.txt // User definable stuff"
in AMCGAME.CON: After this it works splendid first level at least. (finished it on Windows but not found all secrets etc.
Let's see if I can finish it in Linux as well! :) Lovely TC but still unfinished I see. Some chars have very boring voiceovers. James, Sang and Rusty in that regard felt most complete IIRC. Another bug I've seen in both OSes, if you set meele to knife and back to none, you are completely unable to use the kick in the first mission which makes beating the jump from wall to wall thing pretty much impossible without cheats. Done with Rusty that time.
Indeed, Thief and System Shock being my two other favorite games, with this at the tip of the iceberg followed closely by Penumbra. I surely hope there will be a release of the source-code for both games so I can enjoy it on my Linux OS as well, without the lousy DDfix support on WINE. :)
Dear jebus, will it look this fantastic with OpenGL 4 as well?
Hm, for some reason I can't redeem my Linux-purchase on Linux beta of Desura, what's acting up?
I love this game, the expansion I loved even more! No weapon for defense, nowhere to hide, just RUN and don't look back!:D One fair warning for any potential buyers who are easily scared, this could turn out hazardous for your human health. A friend of mine who played it physically hurt himself by going so tense he had a sore side for weeks thereafter. And with all the custom stories to keep you busy this is the best PC game of 2010 IMO even tho some glitches and bugs were breaking the atmosphere from time to time. I say, Best horror game EVER (since Penumbra of course) on Linux.
The physic aspect makes this really fun, I love games who do things in unique ways. Here you are, armed with only your wits and some feeble melee weapon. Crawling through dark corridors suffering from strange hallucinations trying to figure out how to get to the next room stealth past enemies, before you die a horrible death Either from environmental hazards or agressive creatures not liking your very presence. Both games in fact feature this gameplay, but the sequel Black Plague lacks the weapons, so you only have wits and painkillers to keep you alive!
Could you list the dependencies it was built with? like libalut.so.0.1.0, libGlew.so.1.6.0 or anything like that. Could be one of the libs not loading but the game runs anyway or you using an outdated version and Arch having a more recent.. Let's track this bug down.
I absolutely loved this demo, it's better than alright IMO! Wonder if Dead Island will play more like this as well. Anyway, this surely teases me to pre-order this game. Now: Still trying to figure out what is needed to create a molotov cocktail, makes sense one could destroy a lot more zombies by luring them into a building and set one off, seems there's no way to do that in this demo, or should I keep trying different combinations of booze and rags combined with the lighter? :)
I hope this also will be on the nD sometime in the future, not seeing it in their list. Would be something that pulls me to purchase such a thing. The game is practically made for it! :)

segfaults when trying to start Demo on ArchLinux 32 bit. I added -d at the end just by a hunch and it starts, but without any models showing LOL :D help me out here.
Sorry, it would not run with Blender 2.5 BGE in Linux since that is what I am using, so I had to rework it some to get it to run. Excellent game and I want to see more, so next paycheck I receive will turn into a donation anyways! :D
Hello fellow indie developer, just shooting by to say a few things. I greatly enjoyed the game and the story within it, reminded me a lot of old MUD-sessions in the past. The graphics are spot on, hysterical robot-designs mixed with an end of the world theme and steam punky things. In dire need to see more so I'll donate ASALinux port is done! ;)
Oh and after looking at your python code, just one nitpick. "<>, but this is an obsolete usage kept for backwards compatibility only. New code should always use !=." so remember use != if looking for non-equals and not <>! that be great. Wish you lots of good fortune in the future!

I'm a game developer doing a little this and that, not very fast since I do everything all by myself and I'm just having so much fun developing it. I also kinda feel reluctant to release it because of that.
