I must admit I'm having a lot more fun with this than expected...
The game already stared out playing well & gorgeous - once I figured out how to craft items (the menu/interface for this is a little klunky and not explained at all, it took me what seemed like forever to realise I could make things other than O2 refils) the game really took off.
It's been fun jumping blind into a new game like this, it reminds me of playing Minecraft in alpha before every little thing was documented. I'm not going to even try to read up on this one, I'm just gonna play and enjoy it. :)
I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a challenging space survival game and enjoys destructable terrain. Of course Minecraft is an obvious comparison, but think 3079 with a lot less combat and a lot more digging. It really reminds me of the iOS game called LunaCraft - especially the way the vegitation/lights work.
Decent Pinball / Breakout / Space Invaders mashup.
For some reason, I enjoy this one more on the PC than iOS.
Solid base gameplay, this one is a lot of fun even in it's current (alpha) state!
Fantastic puzzle game, and very successful introduction to DROD.
There's a cute trailer for the game, but I'd ignore it - find a pure gameplay video or better yet play a few levels from the free flash version to get a better idea of what this game is like: a sometimes brain-bending turn-based puzzle game with an adventure theme.
What's really nice here is that it's not just screen after screen of puzzles, but there is some story interjected and a handful of optional/hidden/significantly more difficult levels sprinkled throught the game.
Minimal game, but quite a bit of fun, especially with human opponents. I really like the music!
Skirmish mode is basically team multiplayer where the goal is to destroy your opponents base. Gameplay reminds me a lot of Spectre VR, except now there are multiple levels up and down which you can switch between. You can choose between several ship types and customize your weapons/equipment.
I couldn't control the game completely from my gamepad, but if that were fixed I could imagine this on one PC with four players/gamepads (not enough couch co-op PC games these days!)
Pretty good for a beta - this reminds me a lot of the original Tribes, with deformable terrain and light RPG elements (questing/stats)
One of my favorite indie PC titles ever!
Soundtrack is awesome!
Great little Roguelike.
Then again I might be biased, I wrote one of the songs. ;)
