Yes it is. I've been playing for three days and the only vehicle I've been able to get any kills with is the premium M3 Light I got with a beta disc promo code. I have assists with the T18 and T1, but no actual kills.

Seems like you guys forgot to mention that multiplayer isn't free. What's up with the nonfunctional Desura version?

You are correct on all of your points. Jump physics are controlled by the player, damage models are mash only, and this is radical's first game. The game is already playable at needformadness.com. What they fail to mention in the description or trailer here is that multiplayer is $11 USD per year and new cars cannot be created or used until you pay for multiplayer, unless they're including free multiplayer with the Desura version.
