Hey if you got food problems, here is the best solution i found:
1. build a cow farm (you only need 1)
2. set automatic gather milk on double the amount of people you got in your town (e.g. you got 7 people set it to 14)
3. your done! ---> No food problems anymore!
how to automatic gather:
1. click symbol upper mid
2. look for cow milk
3. click "+" on right side...
4. ... till double the amount of inhabitants
