Those pics aren't random! They're all assets for our own IPs :)
The current "Deathmatch" style is for testing purposes only - the final gameplay will go far deeper than that.
So which 'released mods' are you going to vote for in the "Upcoming Indie" category. Oh, wait...
Glad you guys enjoyed the video!
Have a look on our "summary" page. There should be a button near the top of the page.
The plan is to get the game out and have people playing it as soon as possible. The best way for us to do that is focus on multiplayer and then add extra DLC like extra game modes and a single player campaign later on.
Maybe we'll need to get an expert dinosaur hunter to join our team in a consultant position. Do you know any?
That's all taken from in the UDK sir :)
If you like what you see - be sure to vote for us!
And, that blurring is something that will be part of the in-engine visual style thanks to UDK and it's awesome post-processing. This is what they call in the industry a "target render".
Well, make sure you tell your friends about it too! We need as many votes as we can get at the moment.
Initially, we're going to have the game available for digital download to keep costs down and get as many people playing as possible. We haven't settled on a price point yet but it will be cheap as chips, I can assure you.
That's what the "Upcoming" category is for! :D
Yes, it's just a small one for now. The big juicy stuff is coming.
Thanks Kipper! I can already tell you that running around as a dino is a VERY satisfying feeling.
Colossal - It's an awesome program! Just don't get discouraged by the learning curve :)
Kipper - We're going to get it out to the masses via download first. In terms of release date. I can't tell you that yet! We're working furiously on it though and the fruits of our labour will be showcased very soon. Stay tuned.
Kamikazi - Trust me, switching engines has sped up production infinitely. But, we definitely wont be switching again! You'll definitely want to check back in with us over the coming weeks.
*wink wink*
Glad you guys liked it - still pretty weird to think people are listening all around the world!
We'll be doing more media releases in the next few months - and there's a big one coming up!
BOOM! Kurt wins :)
The plan is for Primal Carnage to release on PC first - but there is always the possibility of porting it over to consoles and it's definitely something we're looking at!
There's a lot more on the way - and for that you definitely wont have to wait 3 months!
I should have said "commercial license in Unigine" :)
This is definitely a huge deal for us. Not many Indie game developers get the chance to use Speedtree! Obviously, our environments are a huge part of our game and integrating Speedtree assets (and our own) with this tool is going to make Primal Carnage a top quality game.
When we can show you guys some shots of Speedtree in-game, rest assured you will be the first to see it. Actually, donators will - but hopefully that provides you with some incentive, right?! ;)
That's exactly right, Captain. Unigine are doing a PS port at the moment so the tools will be there. But we need PC to be successful on.. the PC before porting to consoles is something we can even dream about.
This is definitely something that we're looking into. Steam would offer huge benefits so we'd be crazy not to do our best to get it on there!
