Yes! Of course, but I will put it when it's ready, I don't like releasing unfinished stuff.

Thank you! It's mostly me, my animator and a story writer, I get help from composers and some artists, but there's no actual team behind it yet, just myself.

Sorry I stopped the development on the public alpha to focus more on bringing a finished commercial product. The game will eventually come and with co-op, but for now we decided to stay silent and work on it :).

Hopefully for 2016 you will see a commercial version of PF available :)

There's no official requirements to play the game, if you have a PC that can play modern games at low-med, then you're fine. Some laptops with integrated cards can run the game fairly decent tho :P.

This game won't be that usual open world experience found in other games. You'll have a narrative driving the game plus it feels a bit more claustrophobic, we don't want to mimic DayZ/H1Z1 in a sense that you just spawn in a random place and just survive/kill other players. Think of it as a Silent Hill/Dead Island/Dying Light map progression with open world survival mechanics.

A 3rd person camera is a possibility but, I want to keep it as a FPS only, this will depend on the community and what they want, so we will see :P.

Thank you, wait till we actually get artists involved on the game, all the art you're seeing is bought from asset packs. Everything you see visually will probably change once we start pushing for a beta :P.

All assets are bought from the Unreal Engine 4 marketplace or the Unity Store, nothing is pulled from other games, I have full license over them and they're not from other titles :).

Online only, this is just a network simulation running off my computer. If the game ever reaches top 5, you'll be able to enter your friend's game by just typing his IP address in :)

I'm running a network simulation on my own computer with the two screens stretched out, that's why weapons look broken lol, it won't look like that when you're playing on your computer.

>_> I didn't even notice, which one did I dodge? xD

I might be getting some artists involved pretty soon, once I have a budget. I won't bother tackling the art myself, since my main is programming/producing.

I love having almost complete transparency with the development of PF, I love showing the community about the development side of the game and involve them in the decision making process :P. Any questions/doubts you have, feel free to hit me up! :D

Heh **** that, I'm tired of working by myself xD, you guys don't know the massive struggle it was to get this game up and running. I'm the only person actually developing the game in the engine. I have a small team (My animator, story writer and a couple of composers) but everything else was done by myself. Most of the assets are bought, that's why there's a massive distinction between different assets, programmer art really. Where my game really shines is on the mechanics and AI. Sadly, programmers don't get the love they deserve, if it doesn't look pretty, it "sucks", even tho the inside is amazing, haha.

I currently have an investor extremely interested in the game and hopefully in the upcoming months he's gonna completely fund the game (I told him to wait because I wanted to work on the multiplayer side of the game without having to rush it).

In regards to the art style, my main inspiration is obviously Silent Hill, and that's where I'm pushing the theme of the game. I love the photorealistic look of PT, Allison's Road and Outlast, so I'm going for a realistic, surreal look for PF. This game won't be your ordinary open world game, there's so much **** that's planned and I haven't even spilled a bit of information regarding the future of the game.

I'm following Kojima's philosophy when he was making PT, I'm not sure how it exactly went but he said something like this, most developers hold out on making a game extremely scary for the sake of people actually playing it, I don't want to hold out on my game, I want it to be extremely scary and ****/**** your pants.

The difference here is that there's combat, but the combat will be balanced around the horror aspect of the game and it's gonna take skill. But anyways, Project Frequency will be extremely scary and replayable, replayability is one of the main aspects of the game, providing an open world filled with challenges and difficult areas to explore, to keep those hardcore players engaged.

Sorry for the massive long post, I wanted to express a bit more for people that had doubts about the game :3.

Thank you so much, I doubt PF can compete with other indie juggernauts such as the FNAF series and the other games that roam the top 10 list. But hey, at least it's worth a shot, I'll be happy if I get into the top 10 or 5, just for the exposure :D.

Thank you! I have an investor backing me up, so this game will pick up pretty soon. Multiplayer is being worked on at the moment, so it's just a matter of time :).

Do you have a savefile present from the 0.1.2 version? If you're constantly getting errors then that's probably the problem.

Head here: USER/AppData/Local/Frequency/Saved/SavedGames = FrequencySaveSlot, if that's there, delete it and try playing again.

The game will randomly crash sometimes (The cause has been fixed tho :P), but that should make your game A LOT more stable, let me know if it works please!

BioXide - - 31 comments @ Latest alpha version is out!

To reload guns you need the magazine and the bullets, once you have both and they're compatible calibers (You can just inspect the items and it tells you what type of bullets it uses), Press Use on the magazine and it should start loading bullets into it, then just press R once you have your magazine ready to reload your gun.

I agree, hunger/thirst depletes a bit too quickly, but I adjusted the values on the map size, there's loot everywhere and it's extremely easy to get your backpack filled with supplies in a couple of minutes.

I didn't spend too much time on the GUI and options since this is a gameplay focused alpha test, I wanted to test all the core mechanics of the game before proceeding with the commercial release of the game, everything else wasn't as important.

Please remember that you're playing an EARLY ALPHA test, polishing and functionality have been discarded in favor of the core gameplay elements of the game.

Thank you but it's not a mod, it's an actual game built from scratch in Unreal Engine 4 and yes some normal maps are messed up, since I'm mostly using bought assets. I don't have an artist helping me out and as a programmer/producer I can only do so much regarding the art aspect of the game.

There's gonna be a massive update in a few weeks, we still got way more we haven't shown yet, saving it for release.

BioXide - - 31 comments @ Improved Melee Combat Teaser

The game has 4 main points, combat, exploration, horror and replayability. They all are balanced and complement each other, the game will be really scary but we're looking at psychological/atmosphere horror mainly. Think of Silent Hill mixed with DayZ/Dead Island, there will be certain areas that the game turns into Outlast, where you can't fight and the best method of survival is hiding.

It's all randomized, so you're just having bad luck :P, I had some runs where I found shotguns and rifles by the starting area. Just keep farming/saving the game, look inside the buildings, especially the second floors, there's lots of weapon spawns :D

You can save the game by staring at the computer in the big squared house, it has a computer with red words on top :), you're suposed to farm the buildings and gather weapons/ammo to push through :P.

To change weapons you use the mouse scroll, to equip weapons, you click on the weapon in the inventory and press equip. To drop weapons you press G. Press ESC and click on options if in doubt :P
