XashXT offers up a few more options other than graphical upgrades that can benefit gameplay; things such as mirrors, 'real' security cameras, portals, physics, huge environments and a number of other quality of life things which are a real benefit from a mapping standpoint. I agree it's a pain that it can't run from Steam but when packaged up correctly (Signal Lost is a perfect example of this) it's relatively easy to install and get going.
The mod definitely takes place prior to Gina's death, who know's maybe we'll find out exactly what happened to her... ;)
If you go back through the previous articles you'll see that I've played around with HD models previously and decided that LD models are the way forward Crossfire.

Ha yeah the UV is slightly off, I took the face map directly from the player model in Decay so had to do a bit of shunting about, she’s got strong eyebrow game too which I’m still debating changing lol

Yes and no really; Decay took place pretty early in the scale of the whole disaster, in my head this takes place after Gina and Collette have done there thing.

I totally forgot about that! I need to play around with the arena I’m planning these guys to appear in to decide how I want their attacks to work. Got a few ideas on the go tho 😉
He’s based off the Shaft code which I’ve absolutely got you to thank for ^_^ debating adding in an electrical attack too similar to the vorts but not fully settled on that yet.

Cheers! It’s using Uberduck AI voices and then tweaked in Audacity afterwards, I’m pretty pleased with it, took a lot of faffing to get a sound I was happy with!

Cheers for the kind words. This is actually the 3rd version of this section, took me around 4-6 hours all in I think. I tend to build the complex parts like the generator in separate maps then will copy it in and work around it.
