You can add the Weapon Selector Consistency Fix yourself, don't need to wait for that mod to get officially added to this Community patch :)
Install the pack first, then install that mod of the fixed icons. Hope that helped!

Hi! I want to know about the audio quality that this engine supports compared to Gold Source. GldSrc supports 22kh 16bit as Highest Quality for SFX, and 44kh 8bits for sounds used in lipsync or pitching, and apparently ALL mono, not counting the soundtrack used in campaign.
How does this engine compare to GldSrc? What can be the highest sound quality achievable for most SFXs? Can support stereo too, or just mono for the SFX?

No, this mod won't work on any HL2 version because it never featured full HDR maps, so it will get glitchy. This works with HL2EP1/2 and similar HL2 coded games.

Adding: I don't know if the AR2 model can use another separate sprite that it isn't any of the existing sprites in HL2 files, but I guess that the irifle.mdl is the one summoning that sprite... So is it possible to have proper AR2 muzzle flash, and a better shell particle?
Hi! This pack is awesome! great combo of textures and hand model!
I'm using this pack on vanilla HL2 and it works fine, obviously HL2 won't use the anim. MMod can, but so far, nothing really wierd :) Just that, the AR2 uses the file "combinemuzzle1" (materials/effects) as shell particles (I guess that is the name, idk, i'm not a Source Engine genius). So, every time that you fire the AR2, you will see that sprite flying and with the size of a supply crate (very big and it kind of bothers).
And I was wondering if you could make another file with a fix for that issue, or tell me how can I fix it...

Ooohh... Well, you have to experience this first yourself to understand why does this exist, right? I already did the achievement (frustating as hecc) but I will go and try this mod to see how much improves it :)

So the mod doesn't work with vanilla HL2 and I did some testing, Why is that? hard to mod that one or didn't bother?

Nop, sadly it doesn't. It may be from the fact that the model doesn't have a grenade bone/model and the M203 doesn't have proper riging/bones/joints to move around. With that, you can't exactly do animations of that kind if, from the beggining, the weapon model isn't capable of that.
Not arguing but just giving my points on maybe working more on some realistic details to provide even more quality mods. The models are Great, The animations are awesome (with the obvious view that they did the most logical decisions in animating for this game). It is just me, someone who love details, that care for this things. just wanted to inspire some ideas for new version or works :).

Pretty Awesome animations! But it is a pity, in my opinion, that the models and animations for the weapons .357, 9mm smg (9mm full-auto) and grenades, are not that accurate and realistic: The M1911 can't use .357 ammo, MP7 can't use 9mm ammo (since it shares the 9mm hand gun ammo) and the grenade is handled in the wrong way (wacth Youtube.com or google "how handgrenades work"). Little details that also add to the immersion of the game experience.

The files are good quality, but I couldn't ignore how old and poor the sound system of the engine is, doing the test from a distance and all, so my expectation got plummeted even knowing the engine, dumb of my. I too love this realistic stuff, I made my own sounds for gun shots and explosion (at least better than vanilla) :).
There is this reverb and eco effects in the engine but it is not that accurate, and not many mods use them properly or use them at all, the reason could be "why to bother when it doesn't help for realisim"....
If you have more ideas for realistic stuff or anything, share them. Level up those modding and sound desing skills :D.

This is simple to do but not an effective way to recreate a real life effect on that old Gold-Source sound system. The sensation of where the cracks comes are not accurate, another thing is that the crack are from an Outdoors space, not INDOORS which is always the theme for Half Life maps, so this also ruins the realistic experience.
If some day, there is a way to mod and edit the sound system of the engine, this could be a good addition, but in this state, not worth it.
