X-Com: TFTD Redux remakes the classic X-Com 2: Terror From The Deep game by using a new kind of 2D engine. There'll be new features like Alien and X-Com factions having their own singleplayer campaigns, multipalyer and much more in this game. Hey guys! Sad news, X-Com Terror From The Deep Redux is dead. I've been very inactive and dispite the intentions to keep this project alive I have failed. I just don't have much time to make assets, post updates and stuff. It's been fun making it while it lasted. If anyone wants any assets I've made for this project I would be happy to share them, just PM me.

I always wanted x-com 1 and tftd to be merged in one game. That way you could do the fighting proper on land and underwater

Anyway, you're taking an old TB strategy game and making it real time. There're bound to be people who'll hate you for than, I mean, as apposed to simply ignoring you because you aren't doing anything they want to play.
Personally, I prefer the original to TFTD and don't don't see how real time combat would be an improvement on either unless they were totally different games and not really remakes at all.
Hm, it's been a while since you last posted. Are you still working on this. I'd be interested in seeing how it turned out.
Hello. At first I like to say that we're moving this game away from RTS genre. Way too much playing RTS games like C&C and others made me want to turn this game into a RTS game. However, since this game project is all about "Redux", making some extra stuff and improving graphics, without the original true TBS style the original game had, this game project would be waste of time (need to update the project introduction summary...) You're the ones who'll play this game after all and doing opposite what the X-Com fans wants would be a bad turn.
What comes to the "inactivity" we had last year, I had some personal issues like army service which took an year from my life, but now I have finished with that and I'll be able to be more active (at the moment I'm working at beach terrain...)
I would like to see more comments and suggestions related to the music too. Thanks for your great post! :)
