Hahaha, that is co cute... its like a little kid vampire. I especially like his hunchback and backpack... what does he animate like in the game? I hope he walks and moves nicely. |

The animation is perfect (i especially like how he moves his feet). |

well if you drag the helmet into the center of the screen from your inventory... the part that says "DRAG TO EDIT" you should be able to modify the helmets position, offset and scale... that should allow you to set the right values. How does that fit you? |

Thanks for the info. I was able to lower the position, but not enough. I was able to fix that by making the hat taller (by creating more blocks on top of it). This feels like using a backdoor though. |

That dude/thing is cool too... I really like his open mouth... I guess you are having fun and exploring a lot in the character editor then? |

I've made... a Dragon. He's called Arnogh and is big (all scale at max): However since we can't make flying characters, his wings sadly doesn't work |
||
May 20 2013 Anchor | ||
Wow... that is amazing!! How does he move and play? |
||
May 20 2013 Anchor | ||
Quite well. Except he can't fly . //edit: Also when you go into FPP mode (remember his scale is cranked up maximally, except for feet and legs) , I mean zooming all way in, camera is somewhere inside his torso instead in head. If I'd knew where Vox stores character files, I'd send it to some hosting and post link here so you can check out for yourself. Edited by: Darkhog |

Yeh, that sounds about right, I need to modify where the FPP zooms into for scaled up characters. The files should be stored in a location called Vox/media/export/characters/saved/ then there should be a folder of the name of your character. And he might be able to fly if you find the "Icarus Wings" That is a random item that sometimes appears, makes you fly by pressing the jump key repeatedly. |

Yeah, I know about it. Still, would be great to be able to make character which can fly by default if you make Wing part for it (would be mirrored like hands or legs) and set "enable flight" checkbox (sometimes you may want wings to be just decoration of character without making him fly). But that's my two cents. //edit: Here's Arnogh Also I have exciting idea that would bring even more freedom to character creator, but I'll elaborate on it on Vox's forum (on site). Hope you dont mind Darkhog but I played around with your character a bit! He is great, I really like what you did See my screenshot here: I.imgur.com I would be very interested to see any other cool characters that you have created! |
||

I did just dragon now. I'll make others too, I promise! |

No problem. I am going to make the tools easier for you to create cool characters soon. Look out for the character creation screen to change and become better with new versions. |

For new tools I'd like to be able to paint voxels like you can e.g. paint in MS Paint (e.g. instead of cuboids just draw voxels). Same for building - I'd like to be able to just hold mouse button and draw voxels without worrying that I'd accidentally would make huge monstrous cuboid, especially in world editing mode (preferably like building blocks in Minecraft). Cuboid should be separate option, not default tool. Default should be like building blocks in Minecraft. |
