Veridia Tactics is a free 2D turn based tactical game. It has a simple look, but it aims to offer a gameplay experience both entertaining and full of strategic elements.

Features

- Turn based combat system, with an old shool feeling
- Build your team choosing from more than 70 units
- More than 15 battlefields
- Matches with up to 4 players
- Play with your friends or against them both in local and over internet
- Users can create campaigns (no editor though)
- Original setting and lore
- Moddable

Future objectives

I will continue to add content such as new units and maps, correct bugs and (hopefully) improve the existing features and graphics.

Recruitment

I'm open to collaborations, let me know if you are interested, even a little help is appreciated. Artists, writers, programmers, you are all welcome.
Warning: since the project is free, your work won't be paid.

Help for new players and tutorials
In each release are included manuals that help understanding the gameplay and explain the controls. There's also a lore book containing informations on Veridia places and history..

If you found bugs, have suggestions to improve the game, want to share a campaign you made or need help in making one, contact me (send an e-mail, a message or use the forum).

Version 1.03 is out!

News

Hi everyone! I proudly announce that the version 1.03 of Veridia Tactics is out!
This new release brings many fixes, music, new units and maps and above all a playable campaign!

Campaign
I'll start talking about the campaign. It's called "Astalor's pride". You will follow the story of two young men, Alvin and Elric, who are defending their homeland, Astalor, against an army of invaders. You will aid them in battle, commanding their forces and hopefully defeating all enemies.
This campaign is not very long, however I hope it's enjoyable and neither too hard nor too easy.

New features
An important feature is the new team indicator under each unit. Now it'll be easier to distinguish both allies and enemies, for example look at the picture below:

New units
Let's see also a brief introduction for the new units.

From left to right:
- Missionary, an affordable and versatile healer
- Militia, a cheap but solid melee unit
- Blood Knight, an heavy armored melee unit with interesting buffs and drain attacks

Special thanks
I want to thank two music composers that are making very nice tracks for Veridia:
- George Albone, for the new main theme
- Matt Hillis, for a new battle theme

This's all, you can find the new release in the download sections with the list of all changes!
