Treachery in Beatdown City is what we call a "tactical brawler" or fighting RPG or Double Dragon meets Fallout. TiBC features a mixture of side scrolling brawler gameplay and tactics/RPG elements, the main hook being the menu based combat system. The menu pauses the action so players can pick moves that require Fight Points and can pick up to three actions at any time. Move strength and accuracy varies as FP values increase, and players are encouraged to perform combos to gain high FP, and to increase accuracy of their moves. The game features dozens of unique enemies all with health based attack patterns, attacking with a variety of strike and status effect based moves, and span multiple class types, like Grunts or Sneaks. In between fights players move around an overworld and switch between the 3 diverse player characters with a single button. This enables tactical character choice too, some enemies are stronger against certain play styles.
