It's quite difficult to describe how a full football simulation can play on a tablet without the typical control methods of an on screen joypad or a bluetooth controller. For Tiki Taka Soccer we created a control system that is designed for touchscreen and uses gestures.
To help people visualise the controls I have created a new video of the Tiki Taka Soccer quick match demo with captions where you can actually see the game being played directly on an iPad and understand how the touchscreen gestures actually work.
You can perform the gestures anywhere on screen so suitable for both left and right handers and the wide view of the pitch and zoomed out camera allows you to spot the gaps, build flowing passing moves and create attempts on target.
More advanced controls include first time passing, after-touch on shots to deceive the goalkeeper and also first time shooting where the timing of the 'tap to shoot' has to coincide with your team mate receiving the ball.
There will be a new video outlining more of the defensive controls soon.
It looks awesome!
Sensible Soccer! Yeah! ;)
