Hey. So this is my new game that I've started, Sparky. Sparky's a game about speed, momentum, radioactive dogs, and aliens... So... Yeah. Sparky will be a 2D action game in the vein of... I'm not even sure. It'll be about exploring and traversing the alien bases in the game, and destroying aliens in an efficient, quick manner, all while keeping up momentum. Sparky is being made with the Blender Game Engine and should be available on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
A very rough demo of Sparky, mainly made just to get feedback concerning gameplay. You can use either the joystick or the keyboard - for the keyboard, X is to jump and C is to boost. Double-tap boost to attack horizontally, and tap down and boost to dive. You can break the light poles to gain Ions. Ions recharge slowly with time (but faster than my past videos). While boosting, you can wall-run, run faster, and jump higher and further. It requires 7-Zip to unzip.
GASP! Hurray!
I WILL be playing this sometime today.
...It wont extract.
Issue: "Can not open output file: (EVERY SINGLE FILE.)"
I tried WinRar first, didn't work. So I downloaded 7-Zip, that didn't work either.
I forgot to say it, but it requires 7-Zip. Are you sure that you can't open it with 7-Zip?
I tried WinRar and 7zip several times to extract it in Program Files. But then I extracted it directly into my Documents and it worked fine.
My system IS a dinosaur, so you may want to say some general system requirements. I had like, 4 to 5 FPS. xD
My guess is that you haven't done much optimizing, which is completely understandable since this is still very new in development. ;o
I'll try again some time this week on my other PC, it is a lot better. What I DID do, was really fun though. I can't wait 'till this game is finished. ^^
Ah, probably because of the bloom filter. I'll make a function to turn it off. Thanks for the feedback!
I gotta say, looks REALLY promising :D please don't give up, i want more :D
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I'll attempt to keep working on this.
This is awesome! :D
