Heyo fellow gamers!
This is the second news release for the Lift mod, and its a bign'
If you've been following along you will know that the mod is not even a month old and we almost have a full team of dedicated people and our first map is nearing completion. G3njo has been working very hard on our first map titled Special Spot, here's some screen caps.
As mentioned before Lucius has made some great sounds for us and Picked some of my faves to share in this update. Check them out on our modDB download section.
Aside from that I have completed the second movie out of 3 that will help you understand the game play of the mod, this one focuses on the flying portion. take a look at it on our main page at www.liftmod.com
Speaking of movies, why not take a quick look at a snippet of video made by our programmer Whitfield to show us what hes done.

That's all we have for you this month but you know we're
working!
nice lighting would like to see some more complex mapping but im sure that will come shortly :D
The map is very simple, and what did your coder do aside from putting it from first to third person? lol
I hope you guys can think outside of the box and create very interesting maps. ;)
Karuto: It looks like he changed the camera so your guy isn't stuck with the chase-camera like it usually is. If you look at the video, the camera moves around and the player can see behind him, below him, and other places, which is reallllllllly needed for the type of gameplay they're going for (I saw the gameplay/flying videos, intersting gameplay).
Yeah, so if they guy was on his board, flying around, he would be able to see if an enemy was chasing him, etc.
Thaaaaats right Broken tripods got it, the player turns and moves forward with the W A s D Keys the camera is compleatyl on its own, also something that was not shown in the video is that if the camera is facing the back(like your looking behind yourself) then shooting is not alowed, all things needed for upcoming projects! its was a large amount of programing belive it or not :)
Oh, and as far as the maps go they need only accomplish 2 things. FPS while still being very large! and making the player feel that they are in a living breathing environment from the anime, and they wont get realeasd till that happens.
