A novel platformer that pits Cid, a humble jumping spider of the Phiddipus audax species, against a laboratory full of genetically and cybernetically enhanced bugs. Armed with your hydraulic legs, your silk dragline, and your trusty venomous fangs, you must jump, swing, and eat your way past your own arachnid brethren and other multi-legged monstrosities, all courtesy of Araknotek, Inc. The game will feature tight physics and an incredibly intuitive, minimalistic control scheme optimized for touchscreen devices (and mouse, if that's your thing).

My principal achievement from yesterday: A pile of poo that really attracts flies! It was way harder to implement than I thought it would be, but this mechanic will allow me to constrain the movement of bugs that normally would fly around randomly. I can pull them into out-of-the-way places to make them difficult to catch or make a nice buffet for our spider protagonist if I'm feeling kind. The targeted bug type(s) will tend to land on the attractive object and not stray farther away from it than a preset radius--unless, of course, they are being chased by a ravenous spider.

And it'll probably be rotting garbage or some other food source that'll be used for the final in-game graphics. I just made poo for this example so I could say I made poo.
