Dirge of Sorrows: A Nation Reborn (DoS1) is the first chapter in a new trilogy of Strategy/RPG games inspired by Ogre Battle.
In DoS1, you will lead an army of squads of characters, equipped with an assortment of armor, weapons, and shields across many maps against rival armies.
Each map is procedurally generated, consisting of different types of terrain affecting movement speed, towns linked by roads, and an enemy stronghold waiting for you to conquer it.
Create custom runes to modify your equipment with elemental damage/defense, additional attacks, healing, status effects (i.e. poison, burning, freezing), or even to target multiple characters at once!
When two squads collide, you better hope yours is prepared with the best equipment and runes you can afford as autonomous turn-based combat plays out until it's only you or them left standing. The enemy will not show mercy and there will be no resurrecting your losses... this is war, and it's to the death. Will you be the glorious victor, or be wiped from the anals of history?
