IMPORTANT: This game is still in development!

Dive into an oceanic odyssey, where serene exploration meets thrilling challenges. Embark on a journey through endless underwater mazes, armed only with your cunning and defending yourself from perilous foes with the power of your bubbles.

Price

The game is free to play until the final version, as in actually free: no ads, no microtransactions, no spam. I'm doing this to encourage people to try the game, and build a player-base before the final release. You can get the game on itch.io, or on GameJolt. If you donate $10 or more before the final version is out, I will send you a key for the final, full-price release on the same platform you donated on. The price for the final version will be higher than $10.

Hello everyone,

I spent the last 2 months polishing existing features, and adding many new ones:

简体中文? 日本語? Español? Русский?

CrabbleUp is now available in Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and Russian, in addition to the previously supported English, German, and Hungarian. All texts have been localized by natives of each language, however we are all human, so if you notice any mistakes or typos, please report them!

Planktons and health/damage balance

There's a new healing mechanic provided by Planktons, use it wisely! In order to strengthen this feature, I completely rehauled the damage values, and even changed some hitboxes to make a more fair system between enemies and you.

Currents and seaweed

There are 2 new terrain types, which appear in random locations, and make you consider passing them, or rather going around.

Accessibility

There's now an option to make the texts in the menus larger, this is the first, but not the last change to help with readability.

When you create a new profile, there will be a default name for it in case you can't or don't want to type in a name yourself. This can be overwritten easily but erasing the automatic input.

For controller users, the game now automatically pauses when an active controller disconnects (e.g battery runs out). Additionally, when you reconnect any controller afterwards, that controller will be relinked to the same Profile that was using the one that disconnected. This should make wireless controller users' life much easier. :)

Bugfixes and reward for feedbacks

If you fill you fill out the feedback form at tinyurl.com/crabbleup-feedback, then I will send you a code to activate a unique cosmetic add-on in-game. This add-on will be only available to those submitted the feedback form.

I fixed many, many bugs myself, but some are harder to notice during development, than during playing it! Apart from the changes and fixes mentioned above, the camera behaves much better in coop mode, text wrapping work much better with all languages, older controllers with dead zones work better, in-memory assets are optimized further.

Enjoy!

PS: new enemies, and new bosses coming soon!
