Music and New Trailer

News 1 comment

Today I'd like to announce that Color Assembler will no longer be silent! The music for Color Assembler will be composed by the talented Nicolas Lee!
You can check out his previous work on SoundCloud.

And as an example of what kind of music you can look forward to, I'd like to present you a new trailer featuring his music. It has come to my attention that the old trailer wasn't very good at explaining how the game is actually played. Hopefully, the new one should correct this. Enjoy!

If you like what you're seeing (and hearing), make sure to support Color Assembler on Steam Greenlight and spread the word! Thank you.

I think the game is quite beautiful, but the background makes the game look quite ominous and it's far from an ominous game. My vote is for making reducing how much black there is a bit.

I know that's hard because the game elements are based on colors so it's easy to clash with any sort of BG.

Ominous? That's a strange way to look at it. Well, there's not much of a choice there. Making it less black means choosing some kind of color, which would clash with all the other colors.

Also, I like to think that the clouds you're coloring in the background are a nebula and the blackness evokes space.

I'm afraid I don't understand this. I trial and errored my way through the first few levels, until I became stuck. The concept never clicked.

I'm sorry to hear that. How far did you get?

I figured it out now, but back then I was stuck on 5. It is very easy to underestimate how lost players can be when confronted with something new. My game has a full tutorial, and people still don't get it!
