The Basics
I've made a number of additions since first setting up an IndieDB page. Some of them are technical, but a lot of them are monsters.
The majority of the game is spent fighting monsters, so that's what I spend a great deal of time on. I currently have around 22 finished out of my goal of 50 or so. The way the game is setup, each room has 3-5 monsters in it (or maybe more if I feel spiteful enough). Each one is selected at random, so with 22 or later 50+ monsters, that means there is hefty number of combinations. Some of the combinations are harder than the bosses, and the bosses are already murderous.
Gifstorm
Here are most of the new enemies I made recently. Due to how gifs work, it's impossible for me the show off anything worthwhile in a gif. If you really want to see how the game plays, I'd suggest watching the first video:
It's probably important to note that zero enemies ever attack you directly. Every single one of them fires bullets/missiles/projectiles at you. That's the nature of the game.
He only fumbles the axe occasionally. He's otherwise very good with it.
