History

Once upon a time in a tiny country where beers and waffles are plenty called the kingdom of Belgium, in a teeny-tiny town called Mons, two young aspiring game developers met. Axel Neven was a logical thinker whose mind lingered in game design and development. Julien Coppenolle's thoughts were nothing but visuals and puns. In their difference, they found a working synergy and under the tutoring of Technocité Mons, in the fated year of 2019, they soon worked on a small project called Drafting Towers without realizing it was the start of something bigger.

After that, they parted ways but it wouldn't be long for them to reunite.

Indeed, after a second tutoring with Technocité Mons, they started working on a commissioned work in early 2021. After its completion, another project came to be but was unfortunately short lived. However, in the ashes of this disappointment, the spark of a new desire was lit. “Let’s start our own video game studio” said the duo in unisson.

In early 2022, Axel and Julien found the name “Optiz Onion” and entered yet another tutoring under the gaze of Azimut. Azimut would help them develop the skills needed to run and develop a Studio. But this tutelage came with a price, a series of three trials. In their one year of tutoring, the duo would have to produce and post three games on Steam. For each, they had a limited amount of time. Two months for the first, four for the second and, finally, six for the third.

Rising to the challenge, Axel and Julien bravely overcame the first trial and created their first game, “Chest mate”, an aim-based puzzle/tower defense game (find it on Steam).

Today, it is said that they’re working hard to surpass the second trial. In the taverns of the Kingdom of Belgium, rumor has it that a new game is coming… a game called :

“Bounty of One”
