A few large multi-national corporations have consolidated all available military power through economic manipulation and technological prowess. To cement their status, the largest of these corporations have created the clandestine group, Section 6. Among its many dubious facets, the Section 6 group operates a number of secret research laboratories throughout the world, whose mission is to ensure the group's unassailable technological superiority.

You are a survivor. Once upon a time, you wandered aimlessly through this lost world. You were an agent of opportunity. When you were hungry, you stole. When you were threatened, you fought. When necessary, you killed. Yet, when you could, you also helped those less fortunate.

Today, that mobile terminal device you found on the deceased Section 6 agent opened your eyes to something else, something more. Suddenly, your skills had value. Section 6 offered to reward you handsomely for your services; and, just like that, you can now acquire your own territory, troops, and technology.

In exchange, you are asked to help Section 6 contain and neutralize Lazarus Kappa [LK], a military-class Artificial Intelligence agent that escaped one of its research laboratories. The following communiques detail the ongoing effort:
