One of the greatest childhood games of all time had one simple rule: Do not let the balloon hit the ground or it's game over. Flashbacks of flailing around the room and tapping a balloon back up in the air as it slowly falls back down to earth might be manifesting in your mind right now. It's a great and calming feeling to take a moment to reminisce about happy memories from when we were young. This is where my inspiration comes from.
This game is for everyone who remembers that classic balloon game and would like to take a trip down memory lane by playing this family fun, mobile game. Parents have told me the game is like a virtual babysitter, because of how quick their children pick it up and how much fun they have keeping the balloons safely up in the air. Any gamer of any age can pick up AirTime HD and jump right into excitement.
AirTime HD adds another new rule to the game: don't let your balloons get hit by flying objects, like a dart or a flying squirrel. Warning signs appear in the middle of the screen showing you the height of where the object will fly across. This gives you time to ensure your balloons are safe, but if it hits one of your balloons the level ends in the same way it would if the balloon hit the ground.
The game has 4 worlds with 15 levels in each and a bonus world with 4 additional levels that introduce different game mechanics in each one. It also has some awesome features like Facebook integration to share screenshots of your high scores and Game Center support to compare high scores and earn achievements.
The gameplay, as mentioned above, is very easy to learn. The player taps a balloon and that balloon will fly straight up in the air. As gravity pulls the balloon back towards the ground, the player taps it again to force it back up in the air. As soon as the player has all the balloons in there, the timer starts and play continues until a balloon pops.
Besides hitting the ground, the balloons can also pop due to flying objects that fly straight across the screen at random heights. Levels become increasingly difficult has additional balloons are added to the scene, force of gravity is turned up causing balloons to fall faster, and more "flying objects" are spawned.
