Hello, indieDB Community!

Welcome to the 9th article about our in development game, Nata.

If you want to find out more about our game, check out our other articles on our indieDB page.

For this week's article, we're going to show you Nata's final blockouts: Largo do Senado and the fictional port.

Largo do Senado

As we said in previous articles, Largo do Senado is the main area of our 3D game, Nata. For this reason, this area must be bigger than the port.

All of the main quests in Nata are located in Largo do Senado.

Largo do Senado is characterized by its grand buildings, small markets, lamps, signs and last but not least its unique water fountain.

Port

Here we have the blockout for the port area. In the port we will have our crafting table related to the crafting mechanic as well as a small boat where the player can buy resources to craft the desired items.

Although, almost all of Nata's main mechanics are centered around Largo do Senado, the port is fundamental to finish the game as well since it has the crafting mechanic that is only available in the port area.

The fictional port has mainly boats but it also includes some small fish markets.

The 2 areas together

These is what our 2 areas look like together so far. This is not Nata's final map/level design, its just a small mockup of what it could potentially look like.
