A few days writing and rewriting the behavior code for the player/enemy units and they are looking way better. I also adjusted the startup parameters significantly, making it more feasible for a new player to get going without being totally destroyed.

A few days writing and rewriting the behavior code for the player/enemy units and they are looking way better. I also adjusted the startup parameters significantly, making it more feasible for a new player to get going without being totally destroyed.
New Controls:
Tapping an enemy should highlight it in red and notify players of it's presence before it reaches their sensor range. Their internal target prioritization seems to do a pretty good job from there so far.
Selecting units with the deployment menu and pressing on the screen will deploy them to that area regardless of their current status.
Sorta: If you tap near the station with units selected via the deployment menu, they should be sent an order to return to base but it's intermittent and I'm still working on it.
New Games:
More ships are given to a new player according to the selected difficulty level. As well, the ships are upgraded enough to go into battle and not die immediately.
