Philosophy:
We believe that we can make the world a better place through our games by helping you bring out your inner child. Our aim is to entertain and educate people.
We are working very hard to design new games to help people to learn and develop through playing.
We just want to make you smile a bit more so the world can be a better place.
We believe in ethical banking, therefor we chose one of those sustainable banks which finances businesses and initiatives that help people to develop and act as free and responsible citizens, takes into account the Nature and Environment and supports businesses whose key objectives are to add value to society or the environment.
For the long term, we plan to help non profit organizations that follow our ideals or even creating one ourselves.
The Logo:
We have had a huge influence from popular Japanese culture. We love all things Japanese such as Japanese games, manga, anime, Japanese food and martial arts.
Some of us have also travelled to Japan several times (where we made a lot of friends) and started Japanese language and karate lessons.
We adopted a Japanese seal as inspiration. Japanese seals or hanko are still used in Japan for banking and real estate deals.
We want to use ours as a seal of quality for our games which we craft with lots of love and dedication.
Our logo also contains three hearts that represent three lives. This image reminds us of one thing we learn from games, if you try hard and never give up, you can accomplish anything you want.
We say this because, as with games, if you lose one life you can still try and try again. They depict our commitment to deliver the worlds best games. If it’s not good enough, we’ll try and try again until we succeed in our vision.
The Company:
Letter from the founder and leader:
“My name is Victor Zurriaga. I funded Waku Doki Games in 2013. As a child I was always amazed when I saw an 8-bit computer game in action. I immediately fell in love with games and decided, at that very moment, to become a Software Developer.
I’ve been studying computers since then and worked for several software companies, developing mobile games and AAA titles for PC/mac systems and seventh generation gaming consoles. I have worked as a programmer, producer and project leader. You can find more information about my profile here.
I have worked in huge titles with enormous teams but I have always wanted to work with more innovative, creative and artistically experimental games. That’s why, finally, I decided to venture out on my own and create Waku Doki Games”
