If you want to know a little more about how the game was put together, in particular how the gameplay morphed from a dna function curve editing thing into this simpler/purer form I put together a 20 min documentary. I go through some of the challenges of trying to shape the simulation into a game, and also talk about some of the technical difficulties that cropped up.
It's too big to upload here sadly. Check out the 'making of' documentary over on Youtube.

Wow, the spehere does look really cool. I dig the visual style in general a lot. Really well done. And the video is really good at capturing the looks and style.
Also I know it's a "making of" but it'd be better if you'd start with the end result and then tell us how you got there. Knowing nothing about the game it's too much work to look at a 20 minute video just to find out what it's actually about.
The narrative is also better if you start with the end result, get people interested and then tell the story of how you got there. It's much better than just starting and going somewhere. There's little in terms of expectation and comparison of you process to the result. Look at other making of videos. They often do that.
