Do you want to become the conscience of a serial killer? Yes? Well... This particular update addresses various issues, bugs and glitches of the whole game. I'm also bringing some difficulty balance, also got some new features and etc.

Sup guys.

Players follow the linear story of protagonist Anthony. On the edge of his humanity, he struggles between his inner and real worlds. Through fragments of memories and traumas, you witness horrific acts of murder and torture and many expressive situations. A bizarre 5-6 hours of surreal journey through the subconscious, inner demons and the bitter reality of the world awaits you.

This particular update addresses various issues, bugs and glitches of the whole game. I'm also bringing some difficulty balance, making the Regular more simpler. Also got some new features and etc.


Murderous Changes

  • Texts about possible interaction in space added to Subconscious Cities (Act 1-2). Just as there are texts in the house.
  • New information feature - Will. Although it is an optional option in the game settings, the player learns who currently controls the main character's will. Conscience has the most scope, the Anthony character less so, and interaction with the Whisperer is noticeably more limited. With a change of will comes a different gameplay.
  • Overall numerous fixes to the game, specifically listed below.

Overall

  • Broken matches at the chat sequence in Chapter 4 that block the player from continuing. Fixed.
  • A solid difficulty balance to the game, especially for the REGULAR difficulty, which is much calmer (something for every chapter, especially the bossfight). This is especially true of Act 2 for the Gallery and the Voice in general, Act 4 for the Bridge and A View sequences, and Act 5 for Bossfight Phases 1 and 2.
  • Time limiting game sequences (2 act, 5 act) are more player friendly, more on regular difficulty.
  • Added more specific explanations of what to do if a player fails multiple times (Obscure Town in Act 2, Bossfight Phase 1).
  • A minor redesign of the Whisperer's absorption in the third act and a bad endgame. With extra info text on what's going on.
  • The player is warned in advance in the menu that the difficulty is set to UNSANE, i.e. a game with an invisible mouse.
  • Reduce the possibility that a player will mysteriously manage to glitch in Introduction after clicking on the New Games button.
  • The board game, because of its repetitiveness, is only in Chapter 2 once.
  • When the player is fully possessed by the Whisperer, he gets an infinite loop that can sometimes improbably break. Fixed.
  • Significantly reduce the probability of values from objects from gameplay entering the game menu. For example, the screen will be blacked out.
  • Fixed cursor functionality and clearer transitions between images for the Obscure City in Act 1, and for the Gallery, the Obscure City in Act 2.
  • Added new images to Obscure City at the end of Act 2 for better orientation in space.
  • The item icons in the inventory are "remastered" to the aesthetics of the game. (Based on 5 year old visuals, hh)
  • When the player initially encounters a possible interaction in the Cut Yourself scene, they will see a briefing text about the first possible interaction.
  • Updated demo version of the game.

Menu, Other

  • Limit Noise shader as a new option in game settings.
  • Pixel Shader during gameplay is more limited for better clarity. Admittedly this is at the expense of clarity of the text, which was not meant to be seen every time, but the people decided.
  • Gameplay Showreel content is slightly updated.
  • Slightly revised Czech and English language. Mainly in the conversations in Act 1 and Act 2.
  • Removed player location and story status (activated via mouse wheel, F1 key or Start on gamepad).
  • Bold text will be part of the option in the "Text Readability" setting. It will be more prominent for sure. Sure turn it on.
  • The game will not let the player into the basement in the tutorial, it will darken the screen. Fixed.
  • Various minor bugs/glitches fixed also. But I suppose there are many more...
