Wizards? What?
And hobgoblins? What is this? World of STALKRAFT?
Sorry devs, but you need to stick to mutants of the STALKER gameworld, or at least make some that stick to the trend. Adding Wizards and Hobgoblins is making it sound like a magical fantasy, not a post apocalyptic wasteland...
The names are nicknames that would be likely to be given by stalkers. Usually based on appearance and behavior. Why cant stalkers be rpg fans too?
I like this nicknames :)
Do you even understand what RPG means? Role Playing Game. STALKER is a First Person, Post apocalyptic RPG, but it is not a fantasy RPG. It's not the names that concern me, it is the fact that they really do look like a zombie wizard and a hobgoblin, fresh out of a fantasy game. Don't get me wrong, I love the models, but they don't fit in the STALKER game world.
You're retarded mate, you do understand that they can't LEGALLY copy the game entirely. They are a group of Russian game developers that took the idea of the stalker game series and made it into their own. This game resembles the stalker series greatly INGAME but also differs in some good ways, and bad ways. The "witchers" don't cast spells, the devs worded it incorrectly. Trust me, the game is a great FREE beta to play.
I'm sure we can all do without the personal insults.
"Former wizards, forecasters, psychics".
Not only that but the character actually looks like some sort of zombified wizard, holding his hands together like they are in prayer or something. I'm surprised he's not holding an artifact between his hands like it's a crystal ball :P (i'll stop ripping on the wizard now)
And yeah, i've played the beta, and I ended up playing the real STALKER instead. Because I was reminded too much of a game called Fallen Earth, only in the STALKER gameworld.
This worm monster thing is yet another good example of bad design. (It's a cool looking monster, but horrible for STALKER, you only need to take a look at the comments to see that).

The devs should take a look at what made STALKER great and unique, they should look at what style GSC gameworld went with their monster design, and try to do something that isn't straight out of some fantasy game or the DUNE movie.
As a long time stalker fan I kind of have to agree with these guys. Not to say that the models don't look brilliant. You guys have been doing a Wonderful job so far. However that hobgoblin really has no place in the stalker world as is, and as titled. I could see the guy in leather being the next incarnation of those annoying little guys who punched stuff around.
Stalkers are basically hardened crooks and ex-military, not the sort of people (like me!) who stay inside and play games pretending to be hardened crooks and ex-military.
If you're looking to draw the stalker crowd and play on its popularity edit this post removing the Wizard/forcaster bits. Their world is based on science fiction not magic. Its the oldest Nerd argument of all time. Starwars VS LOTRs. Gotta keep em separate.
I've had this title on watch for a while now. I really want it to succeed and tell all my friends that the next stalker is coming. I'm excited that someone is pushing forward with our favorite series. Don't get discouraged over as minor a hicup as a couple of beasties.
lol especially the zombie thing called Outcast it looks like from resident evil xD
The outcast fits in just fine; it looks like the cut zombies from STALKER. I could see the Witcher fitting in if they were part of Monolith and wasn't described as "Former wizards, forecasters, psychics." The Hobgoblin might fit if you de-saturate them a bit, change their name, and put them in swampy areas.
Well, after seeing some ingame, Hobgoblins don't fit in at all. I can't see anything mutating into a REALLY small green person. (They're just too damn small)
