Hello Everyone!

This is our 8th weekly Delicious Devlog, updated every Tuesday!

In today's devlog, we'll show a few different things, starting off with a concept art picture of what our game should look like, an updated blockout of our candy shop and then a look at the UI flowchart and at the storyboard for our gameplay trailer!

Bullshot - Concept art

To start off, here we have a "bullshot" (drawn over fake screenshot) of what our game should look like when finished! Tell us what you think of the colors and overall art style! Colors aren't final so expect changes.

Candy Shop Level 3D Blockout

Here we have an updated look at our blockout, with all the objects you can see the store, including some of the items that will be dropped through the ramp, like the presents and the cake, so you can have a head start on organizing the store or just for a quick emergency delivery!

As you can see, we made sure to not stuff the playable area with props, as to allow as much item real estate as possible. We've also decorated the Customer Area with candy shop props! Also, you may spot some posters on the walls. Those will change whenever you reach Sale Day, and you pick which item will be on sale. The item chosen will be displayed on the posters, attracting as many candy hungry customers as they can! We hope you enjoy our progress, we can't wait to show more.

UI Flowchart

Up next, for the overall navigation through the game's menus, we have created this UI Flowchart, which might seem confusing at first but we can see is actually fairly simple once you take a closer look!

It serves to basically give you a view on how our UI will work, from the Main Menu to in-game stuff. Knowning this, working on our UI prototype will be a lot easier!

Once we get a prototype finished, we'll start gathering some tests, so stay tuned for that!

Gameplay Trailer Storyboard

Finally, we'll have a look at the storyboard for our gameplay trailer!

We'll start by introducing the main gameplay of our game in a quick and simple way with a customer coming in while Jenny is organising things in the store, only to be swiftly appeased with Jenny's fast delivery.

As the customer leaves the store, 3 new customers come in and chaos ensues with Jenny having to deal with the quick deliveries and all the new items coming down the ramp creating a mess!

As time passes, the customers get angrier and a cherry bomb explodes and the trailer ends with our game and studio logos, as well as our social networks.

The trailer will still take some time to come out but tell us what you think of this early version we've got!

And that's a wrap!

With this, we end our Delicious Devlog for today! We hope you enjoy our progress!
