All of the greatest Kickstarter content updates in one place!

The Kickstarter hit its mark, released a pre-alpha demo (available right here on IndieDB), and may be in its final day as of this writing, but it has also seen a lot of content updates over the last couple weeks; here is a summary of just a portion of them:

The Scorching Scrapyard and Looming Lunarium were created in pixel art Livestreams, and received detailed updates on their mechanics. Details also emerged on some of the game's longevity mechanics: rituals, legacies, and heralds!

I outlined custom tyrants and banners, allowing you to further tailor your Tyrant to your preferred playstyle through small bonuses and lots of appearance options!

I introduced the first draft for the Codex, which will contain information on all of the content (floors, characters, traps, items, etc.) that you've unlocked and discovered, and discussed split-screen couch co-op with conjoined dungeons. I also revealed a handful of sample champions, with other details on how these special characters can arise.

I unleashed details on what to expect from the backer alpha in late August, and livestreamed development on the Acrid Alchemist, where you'll be able to buy potions, and the Petrified Pantheon, which produces medusae--units that slow agile opponents (reducing their defense) and convert slain opponents into ruin tiles.

And finally, I unveiled details on items, a major mechanic that will help shift focus toward the dungeon during invasions. There are a number of types of items (single-use, multi-use with cooldown, or passive use) with powers that vary from buffing to upgrading to manipulating the puzzle board, with a lot of potential for items to have multiple uses (for example, bombs can blow up tiles or blow up enemy units directly >=D).

There are way more details and reveals over on the Kickstarter, but even after it ends, you can expect more updates popping up here and on the upcoming forums =). Thanks for reading!

Items should really help to get the focus shifted a little up towards the dungeon :-)
