It has been a while since league mode was introduced in the previous version but a new update has arrived! This new version brings with it new achievements and a whole new assortment of headgears! Read on to find out more...
The New Stuff
1) Headgears
With v1.03, headgears have been added and you can now purchase them from the in-game store!
Headgears have the ability to not only add 1 but 2 different stat bonuses! That is why they are also slightly more expensive.
On top of that, equipping headgears will allow you to customize your characters' outlook!
Kon with his blue hat!
This time Kon is wearing his paper bandana!
2) Achievements
New achievements have been added! They range from reaching a certain level for your characters to winning a certain number of league matches! To view the new achievements, you can do so from the newly redesigned achievements list!
As a gamer, I have also always looked for incentives to make it more worthwhile to complete achievements. As such, you can now earn rubies from completing new achievements!
You can also see the amount of rubies earned too!
3) Skipping
As the name implies, a new 'Skip' button has been added to whenever you cleared a stage! Using it will allow you to skip through the gold and moves calculation, jumping straight to where you can see your rank.
It ain't easy getting a S rank!
Changes to the game
1) Earning rubies
Before v1.03, it was possible to re-play easy stages using leveled up characters (Kon/Lyea). Doing so allowed anyone to easily gain rubies without any challenge. This discourages anyone from attempting the later stages where the monsters' levels and rewards are more appropriate for the characters.
WIth v1.03, the amount of rubies that you can earn is highly dependent on your characters' level. So if your character is level 10, clearing a stage where monsters are only at level 1 will only gain you a reward of 1 ruby.
If Kon's level is too high, you can only get 1 ruby from bullying weak monsters ~
2) Equipment store
While it may be a small change, when entering the in-game for the 1st time, you will now only see rings that you can purchase from the in-game equipment store.
Tapping on the other categories will switch between them and display the category that you have selected.
This little change provides for a better scrolling experience as compared to previously when everything was shown at once from the start.
3) Download size
While not exactly much, the download/file size of Small Chronicles has been reduced! From the previously near 200mb to now 150mb, downloading the game should now be faster.
Bug Fixes
1) Displaying of damage done from statuses
While not game-breaking, the the amount of damage caused by status ailments (such as Lyea's flame skill which does burn) was not shown. That has now been fixed!
2) Entering of new username for league mode
In some situations, creating a new username for league mode crashes the game. That has now been fixed too!
All in all
