Our game is a Metroidvania game where the protagonist, a little girl called Signy, is transported to a forest with a lot of cute but dangerous enemies. Signy needs to fight against enemies and gain new abilities to find a way out.

Summary of new changes to our game and our next iteration plan

In the past week, we made many big improvements to our game. We fixed the NPC system, checkpoint system, and many camera issues, because the issues with these systems were influencing player experience in a very negative way. We also added more audio and particle systems to make our game more vivid. In addition, we created 5 more enemies, 1 boss, more rooms, a menu, and even a money system to make our game more enjoyable! Last but not least, we fixed a lot of bugs that were unexpected.

For the next iteration, we plan to create more particle systems, make our menu look better, look for more audio for different actions, find a way to pixelate our energy bar, and perfectionize our camera system and aesthetics. We will also consider adding one more boss or an open scene if time allows.
