This is just five small sample levels of the game. It includes some basic enemies, and geometric puzzles to get through. The main goal right now is to stabilize the menu system and basic gameplay elements before really adding a lot of content. Try the latest Early Access version on Steam
Update 08/23/2019: The Latest Early Access version of the game is available on Steam. I am keeping this early demo version here for the sake of historical records...
Update 02/21/2019: Version 7.1 is up. Quick update that hopefully fixes the screen resolution problem when attempting full screen.
Update 02/20/2019: Version 7.0 is up. I posted an article that describes all the improvements.
Update 02/15/2019: Demo number 6 is now available! The new game over and screen warp features are active. Also, an impossible waterfall, if you can find it! The screen warping effect, unfortunately, places a limit on the screen resolution. I am trying to resolve the issue, but for now the screen resolution is limited to 1024 pixels in either direction. Also, because of this, fullscreen mode has been disabled. I may have to find a different way to get the desired effect.
Update 02/11/2019: I completed the main menu, options menu and instructions. Now you can change screen resolution, adjust audio (there is no music in the game yet) and redefine keys. It will also store your settings between play sessions.
Update 2/8/2019: I added a main menu and an options menu. Some features are still not working, but the video options should be operating.
Instructions:
To play the sample levels, download the "Paradox_Vector_Demo_007.zip" file, and extract its contents to your desktop, or the folder of your choice.
Open the folder and double-click "Paradox_Vector.exe"
This is a very short demo, with just five small levels. The idea is to see if it runs smoothly, if there are any bugs or problems that I need to be aware of, etc...
I am adding content and new game mechanics, and I hope to have a more robust demo in about a month or so. The intent is to eventually release the game on Steam as an Early Access title. However, before going to Early Access, I want to do some very thorough play-testing.
Use WASD keys and mouse to control the character. Left mouse will shoot your gun. The green robots are bad, so shoot them before they shoot you!
I would appreciate any feedback you might have on the game.
