Critical Point: Incursion is a standalone game created with Epic Games' Unreal Development Kit. Incursion is a semi-realistic, arcade-like first-person shooter combining tactical gameplay with arcade-style speed.Utilising a wide variety of modern weaponry and set in fantastically rendered locations, the Mercenaries and Special Forces meet at a critical point! In a rush-based mode as seen in first-person shooters such as CoD4, Battlefield 3, Counter Strike and TO:AoT, teams are given level-specific objectives in round-based scenarios! CP:I is aimed at a large player base, offering a huge platform for competitive clan and league play, allowing individuals to shine and capture their glory regardless of how many hours they have played. It accentuates skill vs luck, aiming vs spraying, etc. We differ from the competition by having no unlockables, no RPG's, claymores, tanks, jets or other vehicles. Just PURE infantry combat action!!

Dear Community,

Tactical Assault are proud to announce that our members Maddy “mmt” Taylor and Cody “Striker” Bunt both got hired by Vigil Games

Both joined TA voluntarily to build up their portfolios and for their natural passion for creating computer games. A lot of you will know of their huge contributions with their Swat Male and Swat Female characters which are shown in detail on our youtube channel (see here: Youtube.com)

Whilst TA doesn’t take complete credit for them getting their jobs, we most definitely helped them with their portfolios, presentation of their TA produced work, improvement advice on their models and texturing and getting their base skills up to scratch. These are our core values and a big part of TA's commitment to our voluntary team.

We pride ourselves on pushing for industry standard work from all of our team across all areas. Last year we helped Nizza getting into the game industry by boosting his portfolio work drastically!.

Obviously this means that Maddy and Cody will be focussing more on their careers now and less on TA and that means we got some key positions opening up in TA once more (Character Modellers!).

Whilst we are sad to see Maddy and Cody go, we are also very excited for them (and a little jealous!) and we wish them the very best of luck with their careers. The good news is, they will still remain core members of our team and act as Lead Character artists helping us in the recruitment of their successors by providing feedback, criticism of their work, what more better advice than those that started at the bottom and made it as industry professionals!

Experience
You will be working with other industry professionals and students who all share the passion for creating computer games and at the same time you will be building up brilliant portfolio works of art.

Your role
Your roles would be to work with our current files we have for the swat characters to help fix our few remaining issues (very minor stuff), and our character first person arms, and then to either work with Maddy and Codys concept work or to propose your own concept work, and eventually creating new characters for the mercenary team and hostages.
