Zombica: This game is a unique combination of RTS, and simulation gameplay but is most strongly aligned to the RTS genre. So we lovingly call Zombica a Zombie survival RTS (real time strategy game) in which players control members of a haven trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. To this end they may salvage, explore, hunt, build defenses, equip survivors, and farm to provide the necessary elements to survive. If survivors die, are hungry, get sick, don't have a warm place to sleep, or spend too much time out in the darkness their morale will slowly fall until they have reached a state of severe depression; who can say what they will do when this happens?

So what has happened to this game? I wish I had discovered it earlier... I've been an avid RTS fan for almost 20 years, zombie apocalypse fanatic for almost 15 years, (way before it was "cool" to like zombies...) and I also have some experience with video game development. This concept has been something I've thought about for a long time and I was so excited to see that there were others that felt the same way.
So how can I get a copy of this? Searching for it yielded no results, and it says it was released at the end of 2013... From what I've viewed it seems like it's definitely an indie/low budget project, so the gameplay structure is key. Hopefully this will gain enough interest so a large game development company will participate in the "sequel," allowing the game to reach it's full potential...

Yup it's an indie game for sure. It shouldn't be on indiedb.com if it wasn't :) And low budget is for sure. I'm paying for this out of my pocket and I weighed the kickstarter option and decided that I would feel better delivering what the game will be if it was self funded. Anyway I'm still hashing through user feedback from the alpha and working on retooling some areas. Cheers,

Are the models placeholders, or these models are the final ones?
Depending on where we get with funding a lot of the models will be the finals. However many of the buildings will be replaced. Vehicles, zombies, survivors, terrain are pretty much set. The vast majority of models we purchased and the ones that look really sad are the ones that I did :)
when u guys finish the game will you still update models and such or will that be final?
