Warp 5 Overdrive is a super hard retro infinite space shooter where your goal is to maneuver around obstacles, destroy enemies, and try to zoom lightyears ahead. Instead of scores, players are tracked on their lightyears travelled, and the game keeps track of how far players go each game and the combined total of all their space travels in a global leaderboard. The game also features an awesome soundtrack from Jeff Ball, who also did the Tiny Barbarian and Tiny Barbarian DX soundtracks.

Warp 5 Overdrive has several obstacles that get in the way of characters, and enemies also join the battle to stop the player in their space tracks. Destroyed enemies drop power ups that the player's ship absorbs and if enough are collected, a button will flash and if the player presses it before being destroyed, it will launch the ship into warp drive and zoom the accumulation of lightyears for several seconds. If that isn't enough to challenge the player, there are a few other things to keep the player in "perspective". Since the game is going a mobile game, the player's ship auto fires at any targets or obstacles to allow the player more control over ship maneuvering. There is also a ship builder that is in Warp 5 Overdrive that lets a player customize the look of their ship and offers nine colors to choose from.

We are on track to release Warp 5 Overdrive later this month to iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 8.

How far will you go?
