Steel Storm is a top down arcade shooter with old school spirit. The game has score oriented competitive gameplay, and is designed for people who like fast paced action, hordes of smart enemies, destructible worlds and ground shaking explosions.

The events take place in an alternative universe where you are a pilot of R.I.A.C. (Royal Interstellar Armored Corps), who controls an advanced hovertank, packed with the most advanced and sophisticated weapons. Your task is simple, but nevertheless not trivial. In the fight against separatist Union forces, you must prevail!

Key features:

  • Enjoy fast paced and streamlined gameplay
  • 20+ hours of gameplay
  • Engage in online warfare with up to 16 players in any of the multi-player modes
  • Pave your way to victory with the burning remains of your enemies through 25 different campaign missions
  • Complete Challenges and unlock First-Person camera mode
  • Create new missions or modify existing ones using the unique real-time collaborative mission editor and share them with the world

Oh, my bad x.x I did not know that a dedicated server is just a service lol. I had like 10 servers running but I thought it still did not work. <_<

Yeah, dedicated server runs "headless" (no rendering) so it would appear as terminal window (at least suppose to).

Make sure you edit .cfg files to give your server proper name to appear in the server browser.

Im stuck on launching CoOp dedicated server. If I double-click it and select CoOp dedicated server the preparing box just flashes for a tenth of a second and then quits.
edit: appears I cant launch todmod either <_<

I can't find Episode I anywhere. There is a blog post dating to May 26, 2011 where there is mention of "repacking" and that it "will be available on IndieDb/ModDb soon". However, not only is it not on IndieDB, I can't find it anywhere. I also tried finding some kind of announcement of shoving it into a memory hole for whatever reason, but could not find even that much. What's up with that?

Episode 1 is not longer in existence. Please try demo instead.

Would you mind explaining why is that so? (Oh and, I own Burning Retribution, I just wanted an updated Episode 1 for archiving purposes.)

1. Because it was harming sales of Burning Retribution
2. Because it was redundant to have Ep1 and demo.

The purpose of Ep1 was to show people the game. Once demo emerged, it was doing a better job in introducing people to the game. You still can find Ep1 somewhere online.

Episode 1 has been merged into burning retribution. ". The best missions of Episode 1 were placed into a training campaign. The rest were split between Bonus Missions and Lost Missions campaign. "

P.S.: And I just came here to see if the DLC is available on Desura now or not, and it still isn't. :(
