Hey, IndieDB!
I am the lead developer at indie game studio Dawn of Play. My passion is retro gaming and our team created Monkey Labour, a game that mimics a 1980s handheld LCD device.
First released on iOS, it holds a positive score of 75 on Metacritic. We also convinced the judges of the global open competition AppCircus to nominate the game for Mobile Premier Awards 2012, one of the few games to do so. To celebrate this success and challenge players beyond the mobile world, we decided to make the old-school gameplay available on Windows and Mac OS X as well.
While we're still waiting for the OS X version to be approved on the Mac App Store, the Windows version is out and we've uploaded the new trailer and demo to IndieDB. So if you're looking for some nostalgia-filled classic gameplay, take a look and try the game.
