Mirage is a demo developed by eight students as an assignment at Futuregames Academy in Stockholm, Sweden. The total development time for the project was six weeks. In Mirage the player is tasked to control a swarm of glass through a hazardous and mysterious world. The goal of this journey is to try and piece together a mirror which has shattered. This in turn will hopefully return the world to its normal state.

Demo doesn't seem to work on my machine... Mac OS X 10.6, run plenty of Unity apps before. Any ideas?

I liked this game better when it was called Empyreal Nocturne.

It has the same flock mechanic. The controls aren't quite what they were in the original, however. The flock thing works, but I think there is a long ways to go before you get it where it needs to be.

I'd like to see the focus be less on the rail-shooter aspect and more on the boss fights. That's what made EN successful.

I'm not saying this is a blatant rip-off by any means, but you can't deny the similarities.

So far I can only really say that the game looks amazing aesthetically .. But the controls are simply .. Bleh

I am sorry, but I cannot make myself play this game with the mouse screwing my movement up like that constantly =/ Do tell when you fixed this, for I am quite intrigued.

Already starting off: Wow, you guys got some writing skills there!

Forget the assignment, you can make alot of money out of this. The idea is unique, gamplay is amazing, npcs awesome . . . if you develop this into a full version and maybe extend the animations and add more npcs and levels of variety, like make 5 chapters, each in a season as in One in Green and colorful lands another in absolute green lands another in fall (the current version), another in snow and a last level at the bottom of the earth . . . or deep within space . . . depends on the plot you might want to follow . . .

I have to say this idea is quite intriguing and i like it. its a little hard to control though, you should reconfigure the mouse movements, as in easily navigate by moving the mouse left and right up and down without disturbing the camera, also you should consider a zoom in/out function just for the fun of things.

with a good project manager, and some effort you might be able to get this to the top games ever made . . . there are so many ideas out there for you to expand, even i have a few of my own, some that i already mentioned (like the levels by season thing).

anyway i wish you luck, you have potential keep it Up.

GREAT game. I'd defiantly try and put some more time into this, and maybe release it on Xbox live marketplace. I know us college kids need money :)
