Leaden Sky is an upcoming singleplayer horror game, It heavily emphasizes atmosphere, storytelling and it's unique visual art style, drawing inspiration from games like Metro and Stalker. This game introduces elements of story through hand drawn cutscenes, notes, and detailed environments coupled with slow paced gameplay. Horror here is build on a creepy sound design and sense of dread similarly to Silent Hill games.
Story:
The story takes action in year 2005 in Poland and it revolves around modified power plant which causes numerous electrical anomalies in the entire city.
You take the role of Kyle Anderson - ex black ops soldier of the U.S. who is trying to find his friends lost in a mission. There will be many obstacles on your way, ranging from enemy soldiers to nightmarish monsters and anomalies.

Leaden Sky is back with a brand new perspective. The game now takes totally different form but keeps it's story, characters, enemy types and locations from the original 2022 version.
Now thanks to the change of perspective to 3D FPS the game will provide significantly better combat, level design and freedom not possible to achieve in 2D. The changes don't end here, there is a lot more improvements coming in future, featuring half-open world, book-level detail for storytelling, brand new cutscenes with significantly improved artstyle, advanced AI, greatly improved horror and more.

aww maaaan! the 2D art was what made this outstanding! with all due respect to the amazing developers, 3D version is just another horror 3D game in ocean of same genre games....
If you don't like the 3D that's fine, developement of the 2D one is going to be resumed in second half of this year once I'm done with my current project.
Then the 2D original might recieve a possible 3D remake/sequel in far future, so nothing is lost, just give me some time.

On one hand I'm kinda disappointed with the fact of ditching the 2D version which made this game enormously outstanding, in favor of being another 3D postapo shooter, there are not many two-dimensional games made well, with a good story and this one had a chance.
On the other hand Godot is really underrated, so they need skillful developers and the new game version looks like a work of a skillful dev. Looks good and hopefully will play good. Powodzenia!
Hey there, I didn't say that the 2D version is going to be ditched, it is currently on hold and will continiue being developed as side project which will tell a part of prolouge to the story.
The game has switched to 3D to allow more interesting level design, more exploration, better combat, more immersion and more intensive horror. Don't get fooled by the outdated trailer video, the visuals and style greatly improved since then and the game is going to be faithfully made according to the 2D original, all the textures, assets, levels, story is all nearly just exactly like the original, the purpose is to build upon established elements with a new perspective, not completely change it.
And don't worry about the visual style, I'm the guy who did all the art and I'm still doing all of it, including 3D assets so the style will be the same. Additionally 2D art is not going to be entirely replaced, there will be still hand drawn cutscenes, loading screens and illustrations for notes, to fit this artstyle I'll be stylizing 3D graphics to look like detailed painting instead of going fully realistic. Either way both games will be finished and nothing will be lost, so I hope that nobody will end up unsatisfied.
