A 2D platformer deliberately written in the style of 1980s computer games. It's split into two halves: one half in the garden, and the other in a strange castle. This game follows 8-bit Jim, the star of my other game "8-bit Jim's Island Adventure", in his attempt to mow the lawn before his friends arrive for a birthday party. But the lawnmower is broken, some strange people have moved into the compost bin at the bottom of the garden, and multicoloured bears seem to be everywhere. This game is still gradually being developed, refining the levels and maybe adding some more. I originally had this as a bonus level to the paid-for version of Island Adventure, but that meant not many people actually played it. So I recently decided to split it out into a free-to-download standalone game. The story is a bit obscure, but I hope people like it anyway! Look out for references to 80s computer games, particularly on the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum.
The second half of the game is set in a castle that has mysteriously appeared at the bottom of 8-bit Jim's overgrown garden. It's styled to look like the castle-exploration games that seemed to briefly be popular in the mid 80s.
