Details about our production process to rolling out fixes and new features for PSN platforms

Hello Everyone!

We have gotten a lot of emails lately asking about our PSN patches for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. We want to assure you all that we are committed to updating and adding new features and fixes to ALL platforms of Dragon Fin Soup!

Currently the PC STEAM and DRM-Free versions has been updated to revision 1.04 with more to follow! There are known bugs on the PS platforms and we will submit patches. Many of the fixes and new features will be ported to the PSN platforms. You can see future improvements and patch notes here: Grimm-bros.com

To explain in detail: We are the developer of this title but a different company made the ports.

We can address issues on PC directly and deploy patches fast, it is easy to patch on steam and make patches for DRM free version, we simply upload them and done.

On the PS platforms the code is different and we cannot debug or make changes to it by our-self so there are a lot more steps involved, we collect crash reports and issues, try to reproduce them on PC, if reproducible we fix them and submit code for merge to the porting studio, many issues however seem to be platform specific and not reproducible on PC so the porting studio has to look into those issues on 3 different platforms, fix and then QA the issues. then they have to submit the patches to sony and that is to say the least a complicated process, the patches are reviewed by FQA and that goes back and forth sometimes and there is a lot of paperwork involved and the process has to be repeated for different regions, SCEE, SCEA, SCE.

That is the reason patches on PS are taking time. This by all means is not supposed to be an excuse, i am merely explaining the process but i can promise you that we are dedicated to support this title and we will keep fixing but also improving this game until all players are happy.

Please be patient with us and we'll do our best to get a patch published ASAP!

Sincerely,
- Ash & Randis
