Slated for release in early 2014 on web, iOS and Android, Comic ConQuest is a party-based tactical RPG in which players battle their way through a comic con gone wrong, fighting enemies and collecting swag along the path to freedom. Costumed fans attending a local con have been trapped inside the convention center and transformed into the characters they portray by a mysterious villain known only as The Hoarder. Their cotton capes, cardboard swords and plastic plasma rifles have all become real, along with a host of super (or not-so-super) powers.

They've got the production and art talent in the form of Jeff Matsuda and an all-star team of animators. They've got the development chops with an internal team of industry vets and support from Free Lunch Design. They've even got seven of the world's top cosplayers on board for the epic project. Now, Sleepy Giant Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter for the upcoming game Comic ConQuest® and needs a little help from its friends, fans and fellow nerds to expand on the team's vision.

Backers of the campaign can snag awesome stuff like early access to the game, art books, virtual swag bags, a spot in the game credits, exclusive invites to the Comic ConQuest launch party, character naming rights, level co-design opportunities and yes, the development team's everlasting appreciation.

Money raised from the Kickstarter campaign will go toward building all the features, characters and detailed cosplay goodness you expect from a comic con game, including a guild system, with stretch goals for additional character groups and a level creation system.
