You have been locked in a prison where illegal genetic experiments have been going on. The scientist figure out how to genetically make anyone go into a rage. They call it Abuse. It has gotten loose from them and spread through out the entire prison. You have to fight your way through all the mutated and enraged enemies and make sure this doesn't leave the prison.

In 1997 the source and graphics were publicly released, leading to several ports to windows and other modern operating systems. The levels, sounds and music were released later. Armed with the source code and the game’s editor Abuse is fully modable.

hey guys, how is it possible playing abuse on a mac? I've found it when I was a child, and now I'd like to revive that. Description says it's playable on a mac, but I don't find the download that fits :/

Well, whenever yet another indie dev goes for the pixelated 2D look... point them to this, because trhis is what ACTUAL 90s games looked like (much better than current titles, that is!). :)

I just have to say it. Before you guys make suche elaborate comments on what a game is, you might want to do a google search. This game is old.

It doesn't matter. EA, the original publisher of the game took the idea of "lone human amongst mutated ones who want to kill him" and made Dead Space out of it. This game is literally Dead Space Zero...

Their comments were indeed inclusive to the original release of the game.
