There's an existing thread, but it's locked and didn't provide an answer (I don't understand feillyne's comment). Do comments (outside of forum) have any support for formatting tags? There are no formatting shortcuts and what I've tried inserting manually didn't work. Edited by: 955271 |

Adding more details to what feillyne said: To create a hyperlink in a comment, you should type (or paste) the URL directly without any tags (the url tag isn't supported, unfortunately). Moddb will then convert it to a hyperlink when the comment is posted. For example, if you paste the following URL
it will be converted to this: Moddb.com If you put the URL within parentheses, then it won't be processed (it'll be displayed as pure text instead). Using the same URL as above, the result is this: (https://www.moddb.com/forum/thread/hyperlinks-in-comments1) If you want to use parentheses around the URL, but want it to become a hyperlink, then you should add a space to separate the URL from each parenthesis, like this: ( Moddb.com ) The beginning of feillyne's answer addresses my request for a list of tags that work in comments. The indicated tags can be used like this:
The corresponding results are: This is a quote. someone wrote: This form of quote indicates who wrote this. This is a spoiler. Edited by: fva |
